Welcome to Irondequoit Public Library’s 2023 Summer Reading Program for Kids, Teens, and Adults!
Everyone will be able to participate in the program from Monday, June 26, through Friday, August 18.

Kids
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The Summer Reading Program for Kids is open to any patron from birth through 4th Grade.
Color in the river as you read and help save the campers! Color in a section for each day you read at least 20 minutes. You can read for more than 20 minutes, but you can only fill in one section per day.
After you have filled in five sections, bring your Gameboard to the library for a prize!
You can track your reading by printing a Gameboard or you can also pick up a copy at the library.
In addition to reading, participants can earn credit by doing something creative, educational, or active. Some suggested activities:
- Learn about a current event in our town, state, country, or world.
- Go on a nature hike and learn about the plants and animals in our area.
- Cook or bake, make a craft, draw, or build something.
- Write a story, poem, riddle, review, journal entry, or letter.

PRIZES
You can earn up to eight prizes over the course of the program. Simply bring your Gameboard to the Children’s Library to claim your prize(s). Here are the dates for claiming prizes:
Prize 1: 6/30 – 8/25
Prize 2: 7/7 – 8/25
Prize 3: 7/14 – 8/25
Prize 4: 7/21 – 8/25
Prize 5: 7/28 – 8/25
Prize 6: 8/4 – 8/25
Prize 7: 8/11 – 8/25
Prize 8: 8/18 – 8/25
Prize options will include:
- Toy from the treasure chest!
- Free books!
- Raffle entry for a chance to win bigger prizes!

Tweens & Teens
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The Summer Reading Program for Tweens and Teens is open to any patron in Grades 5-12.
READ! Read a book, a graphic novel, listen to an audiobook – it all counts!
Fill out a raffle entry – one entry per title
Entry Forms are available in the Teen Library or online

Two raffle winners will be selected every Friday!

Adults
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The Summer Reading Program for Adults is open to any patron over the age of 18.
Keep track of the title and author of each print book, ebook, or audiobook you read during the week. It must be a title you have not read before.
Log the title and author on the back of the entry form or online
Each book counts as one drawing entry. Submit written and online entries by the end of the day each Saturday to be entered in that week’s drawing. You may submit multiple entries for any given week, but each completed form can only be entered once over the course of the summer.
PRIZES
Winners will be drawn at random and notified by email and/or phone to pick up their prize at the Irondequoit Public Library. A patron can only win once. All written and online entries must be submitted by August 18 at 6:00 PM to be included in the final week’s drawing.
Week One (6/26 – 7/1): Three winners will receive a pair of Red Wings 200-level seat vouchers.
Week Two (7/3-7/8): Three winners will receive a $25 gift card to Encore Chocolates.
Week Three (7/10-7/15): Three winners will receive a $25 gift card to Sips.
Week Four (7/17-7/22): Three winners will receive a $25 gift card to iSquare.
Week Five (7/24-7/29): Three winners will receive a $25 gift card to 2 Ton Tony’s.
Week Six (7/31 – 8/5): Three winners will receive a $25 gift card to REI.
Week Seven (8/7–8/12): Three winners will receive a $25 gift card to Pittsford Dairy.
Week Eight August (14–18): The drawing will take place on Monday, 21 August. Three winners will receive a $25 gift card to Ridge Donuts.
