4thofjulyfireworksIn observance of the 4th of July holiday, the Irondequoit Library will be closed for three days this week: Sunday, July 2nd through Tuesday, July 4th. Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, July 5th.

But if you’re looking for something to do, the Town of Irondequoit is hosting their annual Fourth of July Festival on Monday and Tuesday.

The Town will host a Horseshoe Pitching Tournament on July 3rd at 12 noon, as well as the Street Dance at 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, Irondequoit residents will be able to enjoy the Annual 10K and 2 Mile Fun Run (7:45 AM at Christ the King), the Parade (11:00 AM on Titus Ave between Irondequoit High School and Town Hall), and finally, the Fireworks at dusk (around 9:30 PM).
