The Irondequoit Public Library has teamed up with the Irondequoit Police Department to support the Willow Domestic Violence Center’s Purple Box Campaign this holiday season. A simple gesture of providing new toys can give a child in crisis a sense of normalcy and hope. A donation box for the Purple Box Campaign is located on the 1st Floor by the entrance to the Children’s Room.

Willow Domestic Violence Center Purple Box Campaign
The Purple Box Campaign is a toy drive for children and families living in Willow Center’s Emergency Shelter. One in three women and one in four men are affected by domestic violence. Over 70% of these crimes are witnessed by children. A simple gesture of providing new toys can give a child in crisis a sense of normalcy and hope.
