Adult caregivers are invited to learn about options for childcare and early childhood education in Irondequoit and surrounding areas. Representatives of local preschools & daycares will be available to answer questions and provide information, all in one location.

If you or someone you know has lost a loved one to suicide, join a facilitator from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to watch the documentary Life Journeys: Reclaiming Life After Loss. After watching the DVD, there will be time for questions and sharing in a safe environment.

Life Journeys: Reclaiming Life After Loss is a film about suicide loss and traces the grief and healing journey that follows. Drawing on stories and insights from long-term loss survivors, the film shows us that through resilience and support we can achieve hope and understanding in our lives while celebrating the lives of those we lost. After the DVD, there will be time for questions and sharing in a safe environment.

Twitter is a communication tool that allows users to share messages (known as “Tweets”) that are limited to just 140 characters. But if you’ve ever wanted to join this fast-paced conversation, we’ve got a program for you. Local computer expert Arthur Catalanello will host “Introduction to Twitter” on Tuesday, February 28, and introduce attendees to the website, as well as reveal some tips and tricks to become a better Twitterer.
